Chapter 5

The fashion is renewed and new designers come to light who want to make their own revolution.  The rock music, the drugs and the sexual liberation does make the fashion more weirdie. Mary Quant and André Courrèges have a controversy because of their discovery for the famous "mini" skirt. The mini became the symbol of the decade.  Yves Saint Laurent launches the "look Mondriane", inspired by the geometric paintings of the Dutch painter. Courrèges makes his own real revolution with his plastic spacial clothes. Paco Rabanne presents clothes made of medal. The tiny bikinis are became adorable by both men and women. Models, such as Twiggy and Berouska are the idols of beauty. In Greece, Yiannis Vouros, the designer of the unique dresses that we see in the Greek cinema opens his first atelier. In addition, in this decade Greek designers become famous worldwide.

Mini dresses, mini skirts, turtleneck sweaters and small tight sweaters. Tight pants, capri pants, hot shorts, jupe-culottes. Suits like Jackie's Kennedy, velvet blazers and coats up to the knee.

Coloured tights and socks until the knee. Huge sunglasses, berets and caps, plastic jewelry, scarves. Flat ballet pumps, plastic boots and sandals.

MAKE-UP. The make-up is bright, with huge fake eyelashes and mascara, eye shadows are coloured (blue, green, purple). The lips are in nude shades like pink and light orange.

Long and short hair. Vidal Sassoon launches a new version of the bob with symmetry and volume.

Jane Fonda, Twiggy, Julie Christie, Françoise Hardy, Jean Seberg, Nancy Sinatra, Mia Farrow, Edie Sedgwick, Diana Rigg, Brigitte Bardot, Jacqueline Kennedy, Αλίκη Βουγιουκλάκη, Νόρα Βαλσάμη, Ζωή Λάσκαρη.

I gave this name to my blog because of an amazing perfume that I had in the past and because it reminds me of the romance(from famous Juliete and Romeo) and the more rock attitude(ps: gun) that I like. Anyway, thnx for your sweet comments!!
