The most characteristic looks of the 80's

The 80's is the decade of exaggeration. The shoulders are becoming wider, the waddings are dominate and the series "Dynasty" makes Alexa Colby a fashion icon. The gymnastics is in fashion and sporty look is becoming the new trend. The Jeans pants are the must-have piece of a wardrobe and the "logos" dominate everywhere. This decade is the best season for super-models and consumerism. Women are becoming independent and earn their own money by having career jobs.  Lacroix brings in fashion the Baroque, Alaia makes famous the sweaters which embrace the female body, Donna Karan uses the stretch in tights, while Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutin dominate in footwear-world.

LOOKS

Lambada skirts, mini skirts, leggings, huge baggy T-shirts, faded jeans, ripped jeans, jeans jacket, huge baggy jackets, tops and dresses with the one shoulder out, wide pants, tracksuits and sports bodysuits. 

ACCESSORIES

Gaiters, gloves with figures-cut, lace gloves, bows in the hair, colorfull sun-glasses, huge belts, plastic bracelets, long necklaces, colorful tights. Favorite sports' shoes are Reebok, Nike, L.A Gear and Keds. 

BEAUTY

MAKE-UP. The eyebrows are natural and thick, the face looks freshly and healthy with a rouge and the powder which gives the impression of sunburned skin. The lips are in red color.

HAIR. The hair is bushy while the bangs hide the face. The use of hairspray is becoming the daily routine.
